DIY Ceiling Medallion

 

When I posted about my very inexpensive chandelier http://afullcottage.blogspot.com/2010/04/my-chandelier.html  here I talked about my ceiling medallion but never showed a picture.  Well here it is.

 

This was very easy to do.  The first step was going to an estate sale and purchasing an aluminum tray for .50 cents.  I then brought it home and said to Mr. FC while batting my eyelashes " I want you to take this and turn it into a ivory ceiling medallion"

 

He just gave me that look.  You know the one.  He said "that can't be done it won't work"

 

Well now this was the hardest part.  For the next 5 minutes I tiredly worked to convince him that it could be done.  I said things like "you can make anything work" and "you are so good at finding solutions to problems like this"  I told him that I thought that he should use his drill bit that makes big holes.

So he let out a big sigh and went to get the drill bit.  He then drilled the hole took about a minute and then spray painted it for me and and after the paint was dry up it went!!!!

 

After all my hard work I went to enjoy a glass of iced tea.
