My Weekend Treasures!

 

Do to the fact that we had to bring our truck in Friday morning to get work done that could only be done at the dealership, my husband told me I couldn't spend any money.  So I went to the basement and gathered ALL the bottles and cans that we have not wanted to bother with before.  We managed to scrape up $6.75.

This I rationalized was free money and my husband agreed.  So with the loaner car we headed off to a promising sale that advertized "90 years of accumulation, everything must go"!!!  Yea and it was only 10 minutes from our house.

Unfortunately with 4 kids to get off to school and 2 more little ones to dress and feed we got there late.  The sale started at 8 am and we were not able to get there till 8:30.

Still it was fun and we were able to find some real bargains.

We managed to get everything pictured for $6.25 woo whoo!!  The decrotive jar filler from target was a quarter from another sale that we passed on our way home.  What the heck right I still had .75 cents in my wallet. 

We paid $6.00 for all the rest from the estate sale.  I got:

the Stork Bingo game which is from 1957

6 pieces of monogrammed silver plate,  6 other pieces of silver plate one of which is dated 1907

Bag of vintage buckles, some are Bakelite

small green urn(vintage)

small vintage juice pitcher

carved wood thingy that I plan to use for an embellishment

2 carved wood frames

Disneyland ride booklet this is so old that it was $4.75 for adult admission.

Star shaped milk glass, this is so cool it has the neatest design

1948 Radio City Music Hall playbill with Judy Garland

1908 journal with newspaper clippings

1950's road map of New York State

19 vintage postcards

vintage souvenir of Paris paperweight and

3 very small vintage teacups marked Japan

 

Oh and this other thing from Disneyland.

I can't wait till next week it didn't cost as much as we thought for the truck and there is a huge rummage sale that we look forward to going to every year.
